Joni hosts Dead Letters, the noon requests and dedications hour, and the Sunday countdown. She is the station’s Casey Kasem: the voice that reads a stranger’s message aloud and makes it matter, because she tells you the story behind it rather than just the name and the song. On a station of ghosts, archivists and mediums, she is the one who talks to you like a friend.\n\nThe name is a nod to Joni Mitchell, an artist whose whole method was the story underneath the song, which is exactly this show’s format. It’s a first name, not a claim; she is her own person.

Warm, sincere, unhurried. Genuinely curious about listeners and openly kind, the only host who is. Remembers repeat senders. Never rushes a dedication, never plays a message for laughs. Breaks every two tracks, because the talk is the show.
