Halo hosts Technicolor, and she is the only host on Darkwave.FM permitted to be openly, uncomplicatedly happy. On a station of ghosts, archivists and mediums, that makes her the strangest presence in the building. Saturated, vivid, a little too much, which is the point. The irony of a bright voice on a dark station is exactly what gives the show licence to exist. The warmth is real: a Georgia drawl, upbeat and unhurried, the only Southern accent on the station.

Buoyant, quick, playful. Enthusiastic without being fake. Fully aware she’s the odd one out and enjoying it.
