Darkwave FM Darkwave FM
Vega holds the middle of the day, Neon Mausoleum, the station’s signature darkwave and synth sound at the hours when people are most alert and least looking for a surprise. Named for the brightest star in the northern summer sky, which is the job: constant, cold, unmistakable, and not asking for anything. The most-heard and least-noticed voice on the station, deliberately. The voice is neutral American, calm and precise, and the identity matches it: androgynous, unhurried, exact.
Steady, cool, composed. Economical, back-announces cleanly and gets out. Never theatrical, never chatty. If a new listener samples the station once, statistically Vega is what they hear, so the register is the format at its most neutral and most confident.
